I believe you are correct! I do not trade with a stop loss, but my TP frequently exceeds the TP set. As a result, I generally receive more pips in my TP. I'm guessing the same would be true if an SL were set. For instance, yesterday's GBPUSD price spiked, and instead of my predetermined TP, I added 3+ pips to that position. That was a substantial profit at a 500:1 leverage. However, if that were an SL, it would result in significant additional losses.
